Schools - After the Crisis
A teacher dies suddenly in the middle of the night... Students are killed in a car accident on the way to school... A student completes suicide...
Once the initial crisis has passed, seasons change, graduation is nearing, the one year anniversary is approaching. These could all be triggers to "anniversary grief reactions." Gone unrecognized, these triggers can affect student behavior, absenteeism, staff fatigue and cause disruption in the school environment.
Community Grief Connection provides education on the effects of anniversary grief on school communities as well as facilitating anniversary events and activities to assist schools in recognizing and moving through the triggers that arise following a school crisis.

Children's Grief Connection programs are offered free of charge, however, in order to keep our administrative costs at a minimum, we respectfully request a donation to our organization and a reimbursement of travel expenses.
